Pneumatic rod seals from Freudenberg Sealing Technologies: Use in dynamic applications
The modern pneumatic seals from Freudenberg Sealing Technologies are used in dynamic applications. Compared to hydraulics, these offer lower operating pressures, meaning combined wiper and sealing elements are used for the rod seals. In connection with the highest quality special materials, such as highly wear resistant polyurethane, the use of the pneumatic seal therefore creates a high-performance sealing system with an excellent price/performance ratio.

Rod seals for pneumatics: Seals of the highest quality
Freudenberg Sealing Technologies offer pneumatic seals of the highest quality in the shape of its rod seals. Pneumatic rod seals are used, for example, in large cylinders and presses, such as the Merkel TMP20 grooved ring. The single-action rod seal for pneumatic loads is particularly suitable for high operating requirements and can also be manufactured quickly and flexibly in custom sizes. Merkel grooved rings are designed for one-sided pressurisation. The benefits to you: excellent leak tightness, suitable for dry air, large range of sizes. In addition, no moulding tools are required.
Another product from the rod seal range is the Merkel Airzet PR compact seal, a double-sided pressurisable compact seal with end-face grooves for pressure activation. The compact design allows for short design cylinder cover constructions and is used in valves for high-temperature applications, among other things. The rounded sealing profile and the flexible central part provide good leak tightness with low friction and maintain an effective lubricating film. The Airzet PR also impresses with its design that has been proven in practice time and again, and which has excellent tribological properties.
